About Us
Talbot State Bank was established in 1906, but was purchased by its current owners in 1980. The main office is located at 76 E. Main Street, Woodland, Georgia, just across the railroad tracks on Highway 36.
The Fayetteville Branch is located at 710 Glynn Street North, Fayetteville, Georgia, about a north mile of the historic Fayette County Courthouse.
Our Board of Directors has delineated the Woodland primary market area as the entire county of Talbot and the neighboring counties of Upson, Meriwether, Lamar, Pike, Harris, and Muscogee. Our Board of Directors has delineated the Fayetteville market area as the entire county of Fayette, and the counties of Clayton, Spalding, Henry, and Coweta. These areas have experienced tremendous growth since 1980. At the same time, small community banks have all but faded away, with larger regional banks in their place.
We plan to continue to fill the needs of our local communities as a locally owned and operated community based bank. We offer banking services with friendly, personal service, local decision making and competitively priced banking products.
The bank takes its citizenship duties seriously and will not knowingly take actions that are adverse to the best interests of the communities.
The bank's most important assets are its customers. Bank products are designed, banking hours are set, and employees are hired and trained to meet the needs of customers.
The most important assets within the bank are its employees. All bank employees will be treated with dignity and respect. All will be given equal opportunity and a fair wage without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, or physical handicap.
